Firms are bulking up across South Florida with the latest round of real estate hires.
In Fort Lauderdale, BBX Logistics Properties hired Justin Dunn as managing director of development, according to a press release. In his new role, Dunn will lead all aspects of BBX’s development process.
Prior to joining BBX, Dunn was a senior vice president with Hilco Redevelopment Partners in Philadelphia, where he oversaw more than $2 billion in industrial developments, the release shows.
The California-based commercial brokerage Lee & Associates brought in Ben Key and Luisa Pena as principals, a press release shows. Key will work out of the Deerfield Beach and Miami offices, and Pena will be based in the Miami office. Key specializes in retail and industrial properties, and Pena focuses on multifamily investment properties, according to the release.
Before Lee & Associates, Key was a commercial real estate broker with BKRE LLC in Hollywood for 17 years, and Pena worked on sales and leasing for Marcus & Millichap for five years, according to LinkedIn.
The law firm Holland & Knight bulked up its Miami Real Estate Capital Markets Group, according to a press release. The firm added partner Chris Ezell, who will focus on business litigation involving commercial contracts, injunctive relief, lender liability and creditors’ rights, the release shows. He joins the firm from Jones Walker, where he was a partner for more than seven years, according to LinkedIn.
Miami-based commercial brokerage Gridline Properties hired senior associates Felipe Azenha and Ben Hoffman, a press release shows. Both will focus on investment and development sales in South Florida’s urban corridors, according to the release.
Before joining Gridline, Azenha co-founded the consumer fitness product company CinderFit in 2021, LinkedIn shows. Hoffman previously worked as a commercial broker at Fortune International Realty and the hospitality startup Sonder. He is also part owner of the Toronto-based hotel brand The Annex, the release shows.
Brown Harris Stevens added five agents in its Miami area offices, according to a press release. Rodrigo Pita, Elizabeth Lehrman and Anai Zetrenne will work out of the brokerage’s office at the Continuum in Miami Beach. Adriana del Pilar Ricci is joining the South Miami office, and Sam Lupowitz will be working out of the Coconut Grove office.
Serhant is adding an agent as well, a press release shows. Tali Israel is leaving Douglas Elliman after more than 25 years to join celebrity agent Ryan Serhant’s brokerage, focusing on Boca Raton.
