Palm Beach County condo sales volume drops in August to $233M

Number of closings fell to 546 from 613 in July

Palm Beach County’s condo sales slid last month, with total dollar volume and sales both dropping.

August condo sales totaled $233 million, falling from $301 million in July. Brokers closed 546 sales last month, down from 613 sales in July and 590 in June, Multiple Listing Service data from Redfin show.

August sale prices ranged from $60,000 to $5.8 million, with a median sale price of $260,000. The price per square foot ranged from $67 to $2,130, with a median of $226 per square foot.

In July, sales closed with a median price of $265,000, and $238 per square foot.

La Clara Unit 2201, at 200 Arkona Court in West Palm Beach, closed for the highest amount in August at $5.8 million. The sale comes to $1,837 per square foot after 318 days on the market. Carol Sollak with Engel & Völkers Wellington handled both sides of the deal.

The sale price was less than July’s priciest sale. Unit 206N at the Halcyon of Palm Beach closed for $7.8 million.

In contrast, unit 101 at Lake Clarke Gardens, at 2811 South Garden Drive in Lake Worth, closed for the lowest amount at $60,000, or $67 per square foot. Julia Shust with Robert Slack handled both sides of the deal. The sale closed after 68 days on the market.
