Transwestern Real Estate Services moved its office from downtown Miami to Coral Gables.
The commercial real estate firm leased 4,500 square feet at The Alhambra at 2 Alhambra Plaza, according to Transwestern’s news release. The firm previously had its office at Miami Tower at 100 Southeast Second Street.
Records show an entity affiliated with DWS Group owns the 14-story 2 Alhambra Plaza building. Transwestern is the property manager. The German asset manager is led by CEO Stefan Hoops.
La Cañita | Kendall
Chef Michelle Bernstein and restaurateur David Martinez opened a new restaurant in Kendall.
La Cañita leased 5,400 square feet at 8405 Mills Drive at the Palms at Town & Country Plaza in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, according to the tenant’s news release. The space seats about 180 guests.
Jason Sims of Serhant represented the tenant. Maggie Reyes of The Shopping Center Group represented the landlord.
Bernstein, a James Beard Award winner, and Martinez’s other restaurants are Cafe La Trova, Sweet Liberty and Sra. Martinez.
Jericho, New York-based Kimco Realty owns the Palms at Town & Country.
Pulse Pilates, Summit Marketing & Promotions, more | Fort Lauderdale
The Thrive Arts District in Fort Lauderdale landed six tenants.
In the biggest deal, Pulse Pilates leased 1,900 square feet at 710 Northwest Fifth Avenue, according to a news release from the landlord’s broker. Summit Marketing & Promotions and Dr. Prosper with Pros Performance and Medicine each leased 1,300 square feet at 701 Northwest Fifth Avenue. YogiThot also leased 1,300 square feet at 710 Northwest Fifth Avenue.
Also, kava and exotic teas spot Casa de Kava leased 1,200 square feet at 701 Northwest Fifth Avenue, and Laurie Duncan Fine Art leased 772 square feet at 710 Northwest Fifth Avenue, according to the release.
Kaley Tuning of Native Realty represented the landlord.
Tenants are building out their spaces and are expected to open in three to five months, according to Tuning.
The Thrive Arts District, a collection of galleries and artists studios in retrofitted warehouses, is considered a successor to Fort Lauderdale’s FAT Village Arts District. Thrive was developed and is owned by brothers Jonathan and Abraham Fish.
Sixty Vines | Fort Lauderdale
Restaurant Sixty Vines will open in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Sixty Vines leased 10,000 square feet on two floors at 800 East Las Olas Boulevard, according to the tenant’s news release. The restaurant opens on Monday.
Sixty Vines, led by CEO Jeff Carcara, will offer 60 wines on tap at the Fort Lauderdale outpost and vineyard-inspired dishes.
An entity tied to Fort Lauderdale-based Las Olas Company owns the building, records show.
Champions World Boxing & Fitness | Pompano Beach
A boxing gym opened in Pompano Beach.
Champions World Boxing & Fitness leased 4,000 square feet at 850 Southwest 14th Court, according to a news release from the landlord’s broker.
