Estates at Acqualina closing tops Miami-Dade weekly condo sales 

Top 10 sales ranged from $3.5M to $25M

Miami-Dade County’s condo sales and dollar volume rose last week.

Brokers closed 135 condo sales totaling $177.2 million from Mar. 9 to Mar. 16. The previous week, brokers closed 117 condo sales totaling $120.8 million.

Last week’s units sold for an average of $1,312,551, higher than the $1,032,863 average price from the previous week. The average price per square foot rose to $685 from $653, according to data from Redfin.

For the top 10 sales, prices ranged from $3.5 million to $25 million. 

Unit 4701/4702 at Estates at Acqualina, at 17975 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, took the top spot with a $25 million closing. The sale closed at $2,747 per square foot after 123 days on market. It marked the latest pricey deal in the complex’s north tower, following a $26 million penthouse sale in September that was linked to Iranian-Canadian billionaire Michael Latifi.

Michael Goldstein with Acqualina Realty had the listing, and Benjamin Moss and Liz Hogan with Compass represented the buyer.

The penthouse at Ocean House, at 125 Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, closed for the second highest amount, $24 million, or $6,098 per square foot after 35 days on market. Private equity mogul Marc Leder, co-founder of Boca Raton-based Sun Capital Partners, sold the penthouse to Kayak CEO Steve Hafner. It marked  a South of Fifth price-per-square-foot record.

Sarah Williams with Societe Real Estate had the listing, and Michael Duchon and Eloy Carmenate with the Corcoran Group represented the buyer.
