The co-chief investment officer of Millennium Management is linked to the purchase of a $28.5 million oceanfront Highland Beach estate.
Records show Bos Property LLC, a Delaware entity managed by Aogán O hAoláin, sold the mansion at 2367 South Ocean Boulevard to Casa Palma Tranquila Capital LLC, a Florida entity registered to the New Jersey address of Justin Gmelich.
Candace and Phillip Friis with the Corcoran Group had the listing, and Jonathan Postma with Coldwell Banker Realty brought the buyer.
Gmelich joined New York City-based Millennium, the hedge fund giant led by Israel Englander, in 2023. He was previously partner and global head of markets at Manhattan-based King Street Capital Management for four years, and worked at Goldman Sachs for more than 20 years, most recently as global chief operating officer for fixed income, currencies and commodities, according to LinkedIn.
O hAoláin is the head of Waylock, a family office based in Cork County, Ireland. Bos Property bought the Highland Beach mansion for $22 million in 2021, property records show. Built in 2001 on 1 acre, the 12,400-square-foot home has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and three half-bathrooms, in addition to a pool and a three-bedroom guest house, property records and the listing show.
It hit the market for $37.5 million in July, according to Zillow.

In March of last year, the estate of late mattress mogul Harry Acker sold his oceanfront mansion for $21.2 million. That same month, a Skechers advertising executive dropped $18.8 million on an oceanfront townhome.
