Beckhams sell One Thousand Museum penthouse for $25M

Power couple paid nearly $20M for the full-floor unit in 2020

David and Victoria Beckham sold their penthouse at the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum in downtown Miami for $24.6 million.

David Beckham, the retired soccer superstar and co-owner of Miami’s Major League Soccer team, and fashion designer Victoria sold their full-floor condo at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard, property records show. Beckham Brand Limited, a United Kingdom entity, sold the unit to Delaware-based 1000 MT 59 LLC.

They paid about $19.8 million for the 10,000-square-foot unit in 2020.

The Beckhams have a waterfront mansion in Miami Beach. They paid $72.3 million for the 14,000-square-foot, nine-bedroom estate on North Bay Road in 2024, setting a record for home sales on the exclusive street.

Grammy winning singer-songwriter Marc Anthony, a close friend of Beckham, sold his condo at One Thousand Museum last fall for $8.6 million, marking a loss compared to the $11 million he paid for the unit in 2022.

The late Pritzker-winning artist Hadid designed One Thousand Museum, which is known for its exoskeleton that wraps around the balconies. The 62-story, 84-unit tower was developed by a team that included Louis Birdman, Gilberto Bomeny, Kevin Venger, Gregg Covin and Todd Michael Glaser. It was completed in 2019.

The market in Miami for condos over $20 million is still booming, while the lower end of the luxury market has flattened out. Condo sales above $1 million slipped 5 percent in the fourth quarter compared to a year earlier, according to Analytics Miami.

Inter Miami, the MLS team co-owned by Beckham, Miami businessman Jorge Mas and others, is developing a major mixed-use soccer complex on the former Melreese golf course site near Miami International Airport. Beckham had been working on bringing MLS soccer to Miami for years before the team’s inaugural season in 2020. Since then, they have brought on players who include soccer great Lionel Messi.
