One Thousand Group is working with Anantara Hotels & Resorts, of “The White Lotus” fame, to brand its planned condo tower in Edgewater.

One Thousand Group, led by Kevin Venger, Louis Birdman and Michael Konig, secured a deal with Anantara’s parent company, Bangkok-based Minor Hotels, for the 50-story building at 3601 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Forbes first reported.

Anantara’s Thailand properties were the setting for the third season of the hit HBO show. The Miami project will mark the first Anantara in the U.S. and in Miami, where luxury hotel, car and lifestyle brands have saturated the market.

Anantara Miami Resort & Residences is expected to be completed in 2030, with 50 hotel suites, 100 branded condo units and 120 “resort residences” that can be part of the hotel’s rental pool.

The building is being designed by New York-based Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Hollywood-based ODP Architecture & Design. Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola is designing the interiors.

One Thousand Group paid $53 million for the development site in late 2024, which includes a former gas station.

The hotel will be located on the first three floors of the building, which will include wellness amenities, a helipad and pool terrace.

Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will mark the group’s third project in Greater Downtown Miami. Its other projects include the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum downtown and Villa Miami with co-developer Terra and Major Food Group, near Edgewater and Midtown Miami.

More than a dozen residential projects are underway or planned in Edgewater, which has historically been home to single-family homes and low-rise apartment buildings.

Miami has become the branded residence capital of the U.S. Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Standard Hotels, Cipriani, Baccarat, St. Regis and others are among the hospitality brands that have partnered with developers on luxury projects.
