Developer wins approval for Palm Beach Gardens rental complex

Palm Beach Gardens gave final approval for a 222-unit apartment complex yesterday, the Palm Beach Post reported, and the developer plans to begin construction next month. Called Central Gardens, the three-story project is being developed by Fort Lauderdale-based ZOM Development on the southwest corenr of Hood Road and Central Boulevard. Zom also built the Charleston rental community just west of Boca Raton and has 23 other rental complexes in Florida.

The project is slated to cost $20 million, and will have rents ranging from $1,000 to $2,200 per month for one- through three-bedroom apartments. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of next year.

ZOM eventually plans to bring an additional 126 apartments, and 100,000 square feet of commercial space on the property. [Palm Beach Post]
