The Miami Beach condo tower Related Group and Crescent Heights want to build would be the tallest in the city, if the companies can get commissioners to waive height restrictions at the Alton Road site.

Related and Crescent propose a 50-story residential building next to the Alton Road flyover at the end of the MacArthur Causeway. The area currently has a 75-foot height limit, so the companies want to move all of the site’s development rights to the southwest corner, according to the Miami Herald. The Perkins + Will-designed project includes a six-story waterfall and three-acre public park where a rundown hospital and parking garage currently stand.

As designed, the condo tower would only have four units per floor. Most of the condos would be priced at $2 million, while penthouses could sell for about $10 million.
