Miki Naftali is the chairman and CEO of the New York real estate development firm Naftali Group. He was formerly head of the Elad Group real estate and hotel development conglomerate based in Israel — and its New York-based subsidiary, Elad Properties.
Naftali’s signature project is the Plaza Hotel, which Elad Group purchased in 2004 for $675 million and spent an additional $500 million to renovate. While at Elad, Naftali and partners won the bid to begin a $2 billion hotel, residential and retail development in Singapore called Beach Road. He founded Naftali Group in 2009.
At Naftali Group, Miki Naftali specializes in the development of luxury condominium buildings in New York City and was one of the most active residential developers coming out of the recession, erecting three rental buildings and six condominium buildings. The company’s portfolio includes more than 1,000 residential units and approximately 1 million square feet.
