A Michigan-based investor has acquired the Sandy Springs estate of late country music icon Kenny Rogers.
The 6,000-square-foot estate sold earlier this month for approximately $2.5 million, or $416 per square foot, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported, citing Fulton County records. It was on the market for a month.
The property, at 5450 Claire Rose Lane, was purchased by Maneta LLC, which is registered to Hamid Servati. The buyer was represented by Kristen Mehr of Re/Max Around Atlanta Realty. Thom McCorkle of Ansley Real Estate was the listing agent.
Rogers paid just over $1.7 million for the home in October 2019 through a revocable living trust. The sale price represented a 32 percent markup.
Rogers and his wife Wanda Rogers-Webb moved to the home to be closer to the singer’s medical team, the Wall Street Journal reported. Best-known for his 1978 hit “The Gambler,” Rogers died in March 2020.
The three-story home, built in 2003, has six bedrooms, including two owners suites, and sits on a half acre lot on a cul-de-sac. It features a grand two-story foyer and a custom elevator.
Amenities include a home theater, full guest suite and a climate-controlled wine cellar, designed for social gatherings, with direct access to the backyard. The rear of the property features a covered patio, pool and hot tub.
It is set in ZIP code 30327, the most affluent area in metro Atlanta, where the median home sales price was about $1.4 million last month, a 4 percent increase from September 2023, according to First Multiple Listing Service.
