City rezoning neighborhoods at brisk pace

Since 2002, the Bloomberg administration has approved or started to review the rezonings of 42 neighborhoods in all five boroughs to preserve the character of local housing. So far, about 3,600 blocks have been rezoned. The city approved only eight such rezonings in the three years before 2002. more [NYT]
