Amenities don’t always live up to expectations

Sometimes those public amenities promised by developers so they can build bigger than zoning ordinarily allows don’t live up to expectations. Forest City Ratner, for instance, had announced it would build a rooftop public park as part of its New Jersey Nets arena project. That park has been scrapped.
