City Council revokes landmark decision

For only the fourth time in 14 years, the City Council this week revoked a decision by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. This time, the council revoked the landmark status of the Austin, Nichols Warehouse in Williamsburg at 184 Kent Avenue, clearing the way for the warehouse’s owner to alter the exterior and add six floors for condos. more [NYT]
