Real estate funds strong investment – for now

For all the bubble talk that dominated the real estate industry in the last half of 2005, you could forgive investors in real estate funds for bailing. But, if they stayed the course, they would’ve been rewarded. Real estate funds returned in 2005 an average of 11.9 percent, according to Morningstar. Healthy, yes, yet nothing like the 32 percent return in 2004 and the 37 percent in 2003, begging the question, then: How how long can the higher returns roll in? more [NYT]
