Fannie Mae to pay $400M for settlement

Major mortgage buyer Fannie Mae is expected to pay more than $400 million today as part of a settlement with the federal government. The settlement is an effort to resolve claims against Fannie Mae that executives there manipulated earnings in the 1990s so they could receive bigger bonuses. more [NYT]
