Building collapse may be suicide attempt

The explosion that collapsed an Upper East Side building this morning may have been a suicide attempt, according to Fire Department officials. A doctor believed to be the building’s owner was rescued from the collapse by firefighters. He had reportedly been contemplating suicide. more [CNN]
