New luxury condos have landed in the Rockaways, an area of the city that only 10 years ago was struggling to lure fresh development. The Ocean Grande, an eight-story luxury condo at the corner of Beach 117th Street and the Rockaway Boardwalk, is set to open in the next few weeks, offering $1 million units that dwarf the area’s usual real estate. more [NYT]
