Another real estate titan is bullish on the Bronx. Mark Karasick, an investor known for putting hundreds of millions of dollars into trophy properties like San Francisco’s Bank of America Center and the Starrett Lehigh Building here in New York, recently shelled out $41.3 million for two rent-stabilized apartment buildings in the Bronx. Karasick bought Robert Fulton Terrace at 530-540 East 169th Street from Jerome Belson and Fordham Towers at 480 East 188th Street from Ruby Schron, according to public records. Karasick’s purchase points to the fact that the city’s most respected investors are full of Bronx cheer. more By Gabby Warshawer
