The lull in new housing starts in the U.S. is not likely to rebound
until 2009, according to the National Association of Realtors. However
the NAR also predicted that sales of existing homes is expected to
improve slightly in 2008. Foreclosures, while still well above last
year’s figures, dropped 10 percent between October and November,
according to mortgage research company RealtyTrac.
