A shortage of funding has reportedly led the city to seek more control
over the long-awaited Brooklyn Bridge Park, as the Bloomberg
administration plans to shore up what has been hailed as a
self-sufficient, developer-funded project. The new state-appointed
president of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation, Regina
Myer, said construction costs have “absolutely exploded.” Advocates

senior vice president for planning and design at the Hudson Yards
Development Corporation. more [NYO] and more [NYO]
