Coney Island meeting lacks fireworks

The Coney Island Development Corporation meeting last night did not live up to its billing. Instead of an army of protesters, the turnout was underwhelming. A rambling statement from Senator Carl Kruger was fraught with inaccuracies – he mistakenly referred to Coney Island as Brighton Beach several times. An afternoon meeting is scheduled today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Coney Island Hospital, followed by an evening session from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lincoln High School.
