Israel took his home off the market after it didn’t sell, despite having found a home he wanted to buy in September. Rep. Gary Ackerman, a Jamaica Estates Democrat, has yet to find a buyer for his English Tudor home, despite lowering his asking price from $1.3 million to $1.25 million. “We both commiserate on the floor of the House that we couldn’t sell our houses,” Israel said.
