Foreclosures up in Hamptons

When the Hamptons makes headlines for real estate, it’s usually for its famously pricey summer rentals. But homeowners with second or third homes there haven’t been immune to the wave of foreclosures sweeping the country. About 80 homes are in various stages of foreclosure in East Hampton and Southampton. In East Hampton, a $15 million home is in pre-foreclosure status due to delinquent payments.
