Foreclosures create boom for some

As foreclosure filings rose 75 percent last year, business at firms responsible for the upkeep of vacant homes has boomed, tripling for some. Contractors and inspectors who clean and fix the empty homes often work for the lenders foreclosing the homes, so that the homes don’t deteriorate and remain marketable.
