Brack Capital has begun selling the 36 condos at its redevelopment of 15 Union Square West, once known as the “Palace of Jewels” when it housed the Tiffany headquarters. The building, designed by Tweed Courthouse-architect John Vellum in 1869, will be shrouded until its facade is restored. The old cast iron facade was covered in brick in the 1950s. Brack, which paid $30 million for the building in 2006, is adding six stories.
