George F. Meng, managing director of Chinese import-export company
Pacific American, has purchased apartment 37D at 15 Central Park West
for $12.08 million, according to public records. Meng was one of the
last survivors to evacuate the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001,
escaping with his laptop and a stack of important documents just
minutes before Tower One collapsed. Meng, one of the tower’s early
buyers, closed on Oct. 14, 2005. TRD
