Scott and Donya Bommer sold their duplex penthouse at 1060 Fifth Avenue for $48.9 million, the highest co-op sale in Manhattan, after buying it for $46 million just seven months earlier, and some wonder if the new buyers will flip for a profit. The Bommers didn’t renovate the penthouse, which still needs a lot of work, including being combined into a duplex. A member of the co-op board said the unknown buyers are “appropriate for their apartment and for the project.”
