Openings and closings: East Village box office opens, jewelers file for bankruptcy

Fourth Arts Block has opened a permanent box office for tickets for East Village events. The recently shuttered Lever House, at 390 Park Avenue, will reopen as Casa Lever. Frame Gourmet Eatery at 33rd between Ninth and 10th avenues is slated to open Monday. Asian Station has opened on 52nd between Lexington and Third avenues. Mary O’Hallorans will open in The Former Sushi Restaurant Eshashi On Avenue A Near 3rd Street. Haus Interiors has opened at 250 Elizabeth Street near East Houston Street. The Obesity and Speed brand makes its debut at the Earnest and Sewn flagship store at 821 Washington Street in the Meatpacking District. The New Gansevoort Café, in the former Florent space, is aiming to open in mid-July. This weekend, a pop-up flea market will be held at 201 Mulberry Street. Levanteast is now open at 107 Rivington Street near Ludlow Street. In Brooklyn, Thrifty Couture is set to open at 392 Van Brunt Street in Red Hook. Organic restaurant Phorum has opened at 50 Starr Street in Bushwick. El Matador is now open at 795 Grand Street. An unnamed store will open soon in the former Chicory space at 243 Degraw Street in Cobble Hill. As these stores open, two jewelers, Michael Beaudry and Harry Dunay, have filed for bankruptcy. TRD
