Oprah tours $68M Alpine manse

Oprah Winfrey and the $68M NJ mansion she checked out

On a house-hunting trip in Northern New Jersey yesterday, Oprah Winfrey checked out one of the country’s priciest listings: developer Richard Kurtz’s $68 million Alpine mansion, which sits on the grounds of the former estate of Henry Clay Frick II, according to the Post. The 30,300-square-foot, English manor-style home is one of eight properties located within the posh “Estates at Alpine” and has 19 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a tennis court, movie theater, pool and carriage house. It is the most expensive home in Alpine, which in 2009 was the most expensive ZIP code in the U.S., according to Forbes Magazine. Eddie Murphy, the Jonas Brothers and CC Sabathia also call Alpine home. [Post]
