Correction Appended: Songstress Alicia Keys is closing in on the Englewood, N.J., estate of Eddie Murphy. The property is expected to trade for about $12 million, according to the New York Daily News. The five-acre estate, known as Bubble Hill, has sat on the market for seven years, originally asking $30 million.
“The closing has been delayed for months but they’re almost there,” a local real estate source told the Daily News. “When she closes, she’ll buy the two-acre lot behind the house, too.”
If the deal closes, this won’t be the first time Keys has traded homes with a fellow celebrity. In 2010, she bought Lenny Kravitz’s 16-room Soho loft on Crosby Street for $14.5 million. In March, she put that apartment back on the market for $17.95 million. [NYDN] —Christopher Cameron
