Do-it-yourself guru Bob Vila has purchased a three-bedroom co-op unit at 115 East 67th Street, the New York Observer reported. Whether the television host chooses to move into the Lenox Hill home or to fix it up and flip it is unclear (though many co-ops weed out tenants who are likely to flip their units).

Vila previously flipped a Tribeca condominium and a West Side townhouse.

Vila and his wife, Diana Barrett, bought the East 67th Street home, situated between Park and Lexington avenues, for $2.46 million. It was listed for $2.99 million with Burt Savitsky and Elayne Roskin of Brown Harris Stevens. The seller was the estate of Norma and Richard Flender, a JPMorgan banker.

The home, located on a high floor of the Milan House, has a 30-foot-long living room and a small staff wing. [NYO]Zachary Kussin
