A $20.25 million apartment at Midtown’s new Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York has found a buyer, according to StreetEasy. The home, Unit 44, is the second unit to go into contract since the building launched sales earlier this month. A twin apartment next door is on the market for a slightly higher price — $23.5 million.
The 4,545-square-foot apartment has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. It boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views on all sides, and its white oak floors have a custom mahogany stain.
The 50-story building, at 20 West 53rd Street, has 61 apartments; Skidmore Owings & Merrill designed the tower and Tony Ingrao designed the homes.
The Starwood Capital-owned Baccarat, recently reviewed by the The Real Deal’s architecture critic is being marketed by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. Larry Kruysman, Corcoran Sunshine’s director of sales, confirmed the deal for Unit 44, but declined to identify the buyer or provide any further details on the sale.
The 7,381-square-foot duplex penthouse on the top floor of the building hit the market earlier this month asking $60 million, but is yet to find a buyer.
