The artist is present…at 330 Spring Street. Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic, who once claimed that “art should be disturbing,” purchased a two-bedroom spread at the building, dubbed the Urban Glass House, for $2.65 million, the New York Observer reported.

Suzun Bennet of Town Residential had the listing for the 1,722-square-foot home, which was on the market for $2.6 million as an investor unit. The seller, Eliot Ferguson, took a bit of a loss, as he bought the home in 2006 for closer to $2.7 million.

As The Real Deal reported last year, Abramovic sold a Soho co-op at 70 Grand Street for $3.2 million.

This new acquisition may be a pied-a-terre for Abramovic, the Observer said, as she’ll be spending time upstate in Hudson, N.Y., where Rem Koolhaas’ OMA will design her Marina Abramovic Institute building. [NYO]Zachary Kussin
