A new tenant has moved to 40 Central Park South, and she’ll probably be the loudest one there. Pop songstress Lady Gaga is now renting a duplex penthouse unit at the building for roughly $22,000 per month, Life & Style reported.
The home — literally the Haus of Gaga — has 1,985 square feet, and comes equipped with a wood-burning fireplace, a marble bathroom and views of Central Park. Joseph Barbaccia of Essential New York Real Estate had the listing for the home, according to StreetEasy.
There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and four terraces, according to the listing.
The rent is a far cry from the $1,100 per month she spent living on the Lower East Side before she rose to fame.
“It’s honestly true that money means nothing to me,” she said in 2011. “The only big things I’ve purchased are my dad’s heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary.”
Lady Gaga moved into the home about a month ago. No doubt “Paparazzi” will follow. [Life & Style] —Zachary Kussin
