Norah Jones sells Astor Place pad for $6.7M

Pop chanteuse Norah Jones and her ex boyfriend, Lee Alexander, have sold their Astor Place condominium for $6.7 million, according to property records filed with the city today.

Jones purchased the 3,227-square-foot unit, located in the Carl Fischer Building at 56-62 Cooper Square, as a sponsor sale for almost $2.3 million in 2003, records show. It appears that the unit was never formally listed.

The building, built in 1926, was converted to 26 loft apartments in 2001, marking a flurry of higher-end development in Astor Place. Building amenities include a roof deck, concierge and doorman, according to StreetEasy.
