Some tenants are already moving into Gotham West, the Gotham Organization’s mass of apartments along 11th Avenue in the upper 40’s and 50’s, which came onto the market with a variety of floor plans.
Curbed took a look at one four-tower part of the megaproject in particular, located at 550 West 45th Street, home to 554 units ranging in price from $2,750 a month for studios to $10,000 a month for three-bedrooms. A handful of residents have already set up shop in the building, but construction continues elsewhere as the amenity space and outdoor rooftop are (literally) hammered out.
The building boasts wide-plank flooring, large windows and specially-designed medicine cabinets in all of the units. Courtyard activities such as yoga and movie screenings are planned for the communal area, and a retail space sprawls the block with food and a bike shop on offer.
“Welcome to the most heavenly block in Hell’s Kitchen,” quips the property’s slogan. [Curbed] — Julie Strickland
