Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway is selling a Dumbo apartment she used primarily to dump her clothes, less than a year after buying it.
The three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom unit is on the ninth floor of the Clocktower, located at 1 Main Street. She picked it up in January for $4.1 million, and is now asking $4.5 million.
Hathaway is not abandoning the building altogether – she lives in a rental there with her husband Adam Shulman. Brokers Michael Slosar and Richard Steinberg of Warburg Realty have the listing.
“She didn’t like the unit,” a source told the New York Post. “It was too big, and she felt she was too visible.”
Hathaway has previously lived at the Avalon Bowery rental complex and Trump Tower, where she paid $37,500 a month for a rental penthouse, as previously reported. [NYP] — Mark Maurer
