DiCaprio picks up unit at the Delos
After months of shopping around Manhattan for the perfect pad, Leonardo DiCaprio has closed on a unit in the Delos building just south of Union Square at 66 East 11th Street. It is unclear which of the building’s five units DiCaprio purchased, but the penthouse is listed for $50 million.
Super-broker Dolly Lenz is the building’s exclusive listing agent and she declined to comment regarding the sale. However, DiCaprio told the New York Post that “Delos creates innovative building designs that both enhance human health and improve the environment.”
In fact, DiCaprio is such a fan of developer Delos Living’s commitment to sustainability and wellness that he has become an investor, joining Deepak Chopra and other notables on the building’s board of advisers. [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
