A 21-foot-wide neo-Renaissance-style mansion on the Upper East Side is poised to hit the market asking $34 million.
The 10,600-square-foot home, which is located at 18 East 74th Street, between Fifth and Madison avenues, has eight bedrooms and five bathrooms, in addition to a designated service entrance.
The seller, fragrance entrepreneur Harry Slatkin, purchased the townhouse for a mere $11.75 million in 2005, but spent many millions more renovating the building.
“The outstanding facade, the location, the service entrance and the sheer amount of space, these are monumental features in terms of value,” Sami Hassoumi of Brown Harris Stevens told The New York Times.
