Yoko Ono’s West Village penthouse co-op — which was asking $8.99 million — has entered contract amid the artist’s court battle with the co-op board.
In a $6.6 million lawsuit filed last month, Ono alleged that the board hampered her attempts to sell her penthouse in the building at 49 Downing Street, which she owns but does not live in.
Paula Allen of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing.
The 5,700-square-foot home has three bedrooms, a terrace, greenhouse and rooftop deck, according to a report from the New York Observer. The former horse stable features original wooden beams, columns and exposed brick. [NYO] — Mark Maurer
