Zac Posen-designed penthouse wants $9.3M
A triplex penthouse at the Morris Adjmi-designed 16 West 21st Street has hit the market asking $9.25 million, less than two years after the seller bought it for half that amount. Fashion hotshot Zac Posen designed the interiors of the Flatiron District building, but so far, sales have failed to meet expectations.
The 3,695-square-foot pad has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and boasts 750 square feet of outdoor space on multiple terraces, according to the listing. Roger Erickson of Sotheby’s International Realty is representing the seller, according to Curbed.
Two-bedrooms at the building were listed between $2 million and $3 million when the building hit the market in 2010, but eventually sold in the mid-$1 million range, Curbed said. The triplex penthouse now on the market was first listed for $6.3 million, but sold for $4.63 million in April 2012.
Posen gave The Real Deal a sneak peek at the flamboyant interiors of the building in 2010, and developer F&T Group said at the time that the building was being marketed to the “creative class.” [Curbed] – Hiten Samtani
