There are no idle hands at development and architectural firm Brooklyn Home Company, which currently has seven projects in the works around the Kings’ borough.
Some projects are close to the finish line, such as 256 Cumberland Street in Fort Greene, where four gut-renovated units will hit the market in two weeks. The company will finish converting the apartments at Boerum Hill’s 77 Douglass Street by May 1, more than three years after purchasing the 6,480-square-foot building for $1.65 million in 2010, according to property records. A pair of two-family townhouses in Park Slope — one at 27 Lincoln Place and another being restored at 27 Seventh Avenue — are slated for completion on the same date.
Other projects are just breaking ground, such as 340 Dean Street in Boerum Hill, slated for completion sometime next year, and a five-unit condominium building at 559 Carroll Street in Park Slope. A four-unit condominium project at 84 Congress Street in the Columbia Street Waterfront District will finish work in nine to 12 months, boasting private outdoor space for each unit upon completion.
