Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez wants to return to his former digs at 15 Central Park West, but appears to have already struck out with the ultra-exclusive building.

The 38-year-old slugger used to rent an apartment in the condominium building for $30,000, but departed in 2011 in favor of a 3,585-square-foot apartment at Extell Development’s the Rushmore at 80 Riverside Boulevard. And now, other owners in 15 CPW are reportedly against A-Rod’s return because of the negative press he tends to stir up. He is also being blacklisted because of his inclusion in Michael Gross’ book, “House of Outrageous Fortune,” according to the New York Daily News.

Though Rodriguez would be but one of many famous stars in the building, an unnamed source told the Daily News that A-list neighbors such as Denzel Washington, Sting and Mark Wahlberg “don’t bring drama the way A-Rod does.” [NYDN]Julie Strickland
