Progress is moving along swiftly at the Broken Angel House, the Fort Greene property that artist Arthur Wood transformed into a stained glass art piece and that served as a backdrop for the 2005 documentary “Dave Chappelle’s Block Party.”
Sales are set to launch next month at the condo development that will replace the eccentric and artsy residence at 4 Downing Street, 6sqft reported. Alex Barrett of Barrett Design and Development purchased the property for $4.1 million in January and work got under way in April.
Workers are installing windows, plumbing and sprinklers at the eight-unit building at 4 Downing Street, while work is being done on the foundation at 8 Downing Street, which will rise four floors and contain two condominium units, according to 6sqft. [6sqft] — Tom DiChristopher
