Talk show host Kelly Ripa and hubby, Mark Consuelos, sold their penthouse at 76 Crosby Street for $20 million, according to today’s property records. The 6,800-square-foot spread hit the market in January 2013 for $24.5 million, StreetEasy shows.
The buyer of the five-bedroom home was listed under an LLC, but according to the New York Daily News, appears to be investor Alex Adjmi. The listing entered contract this past May; reports at the time said the home was expected to sell at “a considerable discount” to an unnamed purchaser.
Ripa and Consuelos bought the unit for $9.5 million in 2005, then renovated it.
The penthouse comes with 12-foot ceilings, a Jacuzzi soaking tub and steam shower in the master bath and a media room, per the listing information. A staircase encircling a two-story Balinese wall leads upstairs, where there’s a gym and a second dining space. An added perk is the home’s 3,100-square-foot roof deck with an outdoor fireplace, kitchen, hot tub and shower.
Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group, along with Douglas Elliman’s Raphael De Niro and Douglas Travaglione, had the co-exclusive listing. Vanessa Tawil and Lorette Zoitos of the Corcoran Group represented the buyer.
Modlin declined comment on the deal. An Elliman spokesperson did not have immediate comment.
