Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw just can’t say goodbye to her sweet West Village brownstone. Her neighbors, however, wish she would.
And that’s not just because she and Mr. Big moved into a new home.
Parker — who played the role of Bradshaw in “Sex and the City” for six seasons and two movies — recently returned to her character’s former fictional home to shoot a commercial for her new shoe line, to the dismay of the real life residents of the brownstone at 66 Perry Street, according to the New York Post.
The owners have posted “no trespassing” signs in front of their property, due to the groups of SATC fans that visit the home.
“I heard about the shoot. They didn’t get the permission from the owner. The situation with ‘SATC’ visitors is still very intense. People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed,” Gerald Banu, president of the Perry Street Association, told the newspaper. [NYP] — Claire Moses
