Record-breaking Park Slope townhouse, Forest Hills homes top the list

A three-story Park Slope townhouse that sold for $10.8 million wasn’t just the largest residential home sale in Brooklyn recorded in December. It was also the single priciest sale ever in Park Slope and the third priciest sale in the borough. That’s according to PropertyShark data on the priciest home sales in the outer boroughs.
45 Montgomery Place in Park Slope
The seven-bedroom, 7,660-square-foot house at 45 Montgomery Place was built in the 1890s and had an asking price of $14 million when it hit the market last year.
Academy Award-nominated actress Michelle Williams acquired a three-story Boerum Hill townhouse at 126 Hoyt Street for $8.8 million, the second-priciest sale on the list. The home includes a three-car garage, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, radiant heat floors and a landscaped roof deck.

The third priciest Brooklyn deal was the $6.5 million sale of a three-story Clinton Hill mansion at 405 Clinton Avenue which at separate times was home to former New York City mayor Jimmy Walker and Charles Schieren, former mayor of the old City of Brooklyn.

Next, a four-bedroom, 2,290-square-foot condo at 20 Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights sold for $3.8 million. In Fifth Place, a three-bedroom townhouse also in Brooklyn Heights changed hands for about the same price – $3.76 million.
QUEENS SALES
Over in Queens, a two-story suburban home in Forest Hills was the borough’s priciest residential sale recorded in December at $2.8 million, according to PropertyShark. The 3,683-square-foot property, which sports a garage, is located at 55 Exeter Street.

Tied for first place was a two-story suburban home, also in Forest Hills. The 4,700-square-foot property at 64 Dartmouth Street, which has a garage, also sold for $2.8 million.
A two-story home at 9-06 Parsons Boulevard in Malba sold for $1.65 million. A 1,195-square-foot penthouse condo at Casa Vizcaya, located at 10-40 46th Road in Long Island City, went for $1.4 million.
In the fifth spot for the month, a 1,252-square-foot condo at the Foundry at Hunters Point sold for $1.39 million, data show.
