A West Village duplex where Robert De Niro and his wife camped out for two years after their apartment was destroyed by a fire just saw its price chopped by $10 million.
Originally asking $39.8 million, the property at 165 Perry Street is now listed for just $29.8 million, the New York Daily News reported.
The spread includes five bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, two levels of outdoor space with Hudson River views and a private garage.
De Niro never owned the apartment, but rented it for two years after his Upper West Side home at 88 Central Park West was lost in a fire.
“The owner is a serious seller, having moved out of the city, and [he] decided that he wanted to price the home to sell,” said listing broker Dolly Lenz of Dolly Lenz Real Estate. [NYDN] — Tess Hofmann
