Actress Cate Blanchett is ditching her Australian estate, listing the waterfront Sydney property for $20 million Australian dollars (about $14.75 million USD).
Overlooking The Lane Cove River in Sydney, the mansion – dubbed “Bulwarra” – is set on a lush property in the exclusive suburb of Hunter Hills. It features a stainless steel kitchen island, streamlined balconies wrapping around the second floor, unobstructed views of the river and solid American oak floors throughout the home.
“Often regarded as one of Sydney’s finest heritage homes, Bulwarra has undergone a carefully considered reinvention that seamlessly links the old and new,” Ken Jacobs, an agent with Christie’s International Real Estate, told the New York Post.
The home also includes a pool, spa shaded by a pergola, a championship tennis court, a trampoline platform and a guesthouse.
“With its exceptional provenance, luxurious eco-friendly amenities and architectural significance, Bulwarra is impeccably executed with modern touches that make it a superb family residence,” Christie’s International Real Estate senior vice president Zackary Wright added. [NYP] – Christopher Cameron
